Guangfu is a rural township in Hualien County, Taiwan, known for its historic Hualien Sugar Factory and the ecological Matai’an Wetland. On September 23, 2025, heavy rainfall and a breached barrier lake caused devastating floods that swept through the town, prompting volunteers from across Taiwan to come together for relief and cleanup. The Helping Guangfu series documents the community’s resilience and recovery efforts.
