Starting this company is definitely one of the hardest things I've ever done
There's a saying that 99% of business owners don't know what the fuck they are doing, and that is definitely true.
I decided to start this company
Why? There are several reasons:
- Taiwan lacks good options (I personally want to use my product.)
- Give myself a visa, so that no agency controls me and I have absolute freedom to live in Taiwan.
- Fund my media production, I want to use the profits to hire an editor, assistant, photographer, etc.
- To learn and accomplish something challenging, I am going to start a company eventually, so why not now?
There is no going back, I have already started the campaign.
Stress and worry, I feel like I am in debt
I never knew it would feel this way.
Being a business owner is terrifying and stressful, because it feels like you owe people. Your customers gave you money and you need to provide. You are in debt. You have liabilities.
Wow. That is a horrifying feeling, to be honest.
I like my freedom. I like not owing anyone anything.
I don't like this feeling of owing something to so many people. It makes me extremely uncomfortable.
Nevertheless, I must carry through and deliver
It doesn't matter how I feel. I've already made the commitment and I must see it through. I must finish what I started.
This in itself is a good lesson - and perhaps will be one of the greatest takeaways from this entire endeavor.
The ability to commit to an insanely difficult project for a long-time and see it through to its completion.
This is perhaps one of the greatest talents that all successful people share. There isn't one self-made successful person in history who doesn't have this trait; it is a self-requisite to be successful.
