I love the fact that Tokyo has such a vibrant nightlife

I couldn't sleep, and I didn't want to drink alcohol, so here I am, in an exquisite cafe, drinking a $9 coffee (1200 yen), in a British style tea cup (is this kind of pottery from China?), served by a well-dressed, well-mannered tall Japanese young woman with her hair tied in a tight black bun, who with a curt bow, carried on eloquently pouring my coffee, serving me with grace, then dismissing herself.
Then there's me, a 25 year old American, who has somehow made his way abroad, been living outside the states for 4 years, speaks fluent Chinese, shooting content, and building a business, who just happens to be in Tokyo for the last 2 weeks, running a crowdfunding campaign, to start a company in Taiwan, now sitting here at 1:29am, writing an article while sipping this delicious coffee (actually I already drank it all and I want a second one), feeling happy and excited to be living on this earth.
The beauty about traveling like this is you get see how big and exciting the world is, and it inspires you
Moments like these make me want to work harder. In a flash, my spirit is ablaze to make this kind of lifestyle sustainable. Once you get a taste of it, there's no going back.
This is a simple joy - but this is what I enjoy the most. I love the serendipity, spontaneity, and randomness of life.
My goal in life is to experience as much as possible, and not to flounder a minute
To do this though, you need so many skills: courage, awareness, clarity, discipline, hard-working, conscientiousness, and grit.
You need the courage to put yourself out there, to do difficult and uncomfortable things. You need awareness, to know what you are doing in the moment, and whether or not it aligns with your vision. You need clarity about where you want to go and what your principles are. You need discipline to do the things that need to be done even if you don't want to. You need to be hard-working, giving your 100% at all times, otherwise time is wasted. You need to be conscientious, so that the quality of your output is good and you are always improving. And lastly you need grit, to be able to continue and persist, no matter the setbacks you face.
I would also say, you need wisdom, to know what the right decision is.
If you have these things, you can charge forth bravely and experience all that life has to offer.
This website is my way to work on myself, to write about my experiences and thoughts, and to challenge myself
This website is just to record my self-improvement journey and my life and my thoughts and my philosophy. I just happen to do so openly, is all.
This is actually my true goal in life, pursuit of self-mastery and exploration. Everything else, is just me, wondering, how can I support the lifestyle that I want?
Anyways, man, I really want another coffee.
I love you all, wishing you all the best.
Warm Regards,
Jacob Pugmire
