Good morning everyone.

## This is my first attempt at a newsletter.

Basically I want to write motivation. Create a community where we pursue our goals.

> *Let you know - you aren't alone.*

It's always been my dream to write something like this -so, **I decided to start now.**

See how it goes.

> Just start and iterate and improve.

### Yesterday during my livestream I mentioned why walking is such an adventurous way to travel - and how it's a philosophy that can be applied in other areas of life.

When you look far in the distance, and see where you are, from where you want to go,

> itlooks impossible.

The mountain looks **goddamn insurmountable.**

However, from what I learned from my walk around Taiwan, is **it's actually not that bad.**

### You just kind of, keep moving forward, and bam, suddenly you're there!

I took this mindset and applied it to other areas of my life too, like video editing.

I have 30 minutes of raw footage and I somehow have to turn this into a short, entertaining, 1 minute video.

It's an absolute pain to do, **but it just takes time.**

I sit there for a few hours, one step at a time, deleting some footage, tweaking some things, adding some bilingual subtitles, and sooner or later, wow, I have a video I can post!

> It looks impossible in the beginning, but after just sitting with it for a while, repolishing repolishing, you'll have something nice in the end.

Just like this newsletter, *this is like the 4th time I've written it,* each time with a different style and tone - and each time my intuition told me *"this isn't it."*

I just kept rewriting and rewriting until I found my voice. Iteration iteration.

> It's like the Japanese philosophy Kaizen, which just means continuous improvement through iteration.

**Basically you just have to do it over and over again until you get it just right.**

Good things take time, and that's okay.

> You just keep moving forward, trying, and eventually you'll succeed.

I wish you have the best of days today! I love you all.

Warm Regards,

Jacob Pugmire
